Second T-SCAN System installed at Bentley Motors Limited (GB)
Since the middle of this year the Metrology Group at Bentley Motors Limited in Crewe (GB) have two T-SCAN laser scanner systems in use for product development and quality optimization applications.
Through the wide range of possible applications, the high speed and efficiency of the analysis capabilities of the T-SCAN system (also on site at suppliers) e.g. for tooling, interior parts, full car bodies etc., Bentley soon had their first system (installed beginning of 2005) fully engaged.
For this reason a second T-SCAN system with the new tracking sub-system Optotrak Pro 2000 was acquired for the production launch of the new convertible model Continental GTL.
The mobility and flexibility of T-SCAN has already enabled several successful measurement applications at suppliers and other VW sites in Wolfsburg, Zwickau and Hannover in Germany.
