ISISmobile 3100 - compact shearography system for the inspection of composite parts
For the non-destructive testing of composite materials (e.g., honeycomb, metal-sandwich parts, fiber reinforced plastics, etc.), the shearography technique by Steinbichler Optotechnik is a proven method to detect defects even in inner object layers easily, fast and reliably. Contrary to other technologies, shearography allows the laminar measurement on surfaces - thus, the aerospace industry with its high demands on quality benefits from this efficient and cost-effective testing method which is available in various system configurations. Currently, this technology is undergoing the certification process for use in the aerospace industry.
The ISISmobile 3100 system combines an extremely flexible and mobile use with state-of-the-art technology. Due to its compact set-up, the system can be easily positioned by the operator using a tripod or the pneumatic suction cups to fix the measuring unit directly on the object´s surface. ISISmobile 3100 offers a thermal and a vacuum test load. The PC and control unit are fitted into an extremely compact and rugged transport rack and, thus, are perfectly designed for unrestricted mobile use. The measurements can be evaluated either immediately or stored for later data analysis. Designed with special focus on functionality and user-friendlyness, the ISISplus software offers two different operation modes (standard/expert), a fully automatic test report generation and a 3D data interface.
