Dr. Hans Steinbichler Award
presented at the FRINGE 2009
For the second time, the Dr. Hans Steinbichler Award was presented on September 15, 2009 during the FRINGE conference.
The award, which is endowed with Eur 5,000, has been donated by Steinbichler Optotechnik GmbH in memory of its founder and longtime president Dr. Hans Steinbichler († 2005) who had been closely attached as a speaker and participant to the conference and its chairman Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Osten.
This year´s awardee, Prof. Dr. Michael Küchel, has published many outstanding papers in optical metrology and is holder of many patents. His excellent ability to combine the development of new scientific approaches in high precision optical metrology with their implementation in commercial products has set standards in the discipline.
