The 3D digitizing system COMET5 now offers a new and innovative photogrammetric measurement method with its integrated marker projection. Thus, automated measurement procedures for large-scale objects (e.g., using a robot-controlled sensor) can be made even more efficient.
In contrast to conventional methods using external projection units, the marker projection is done directly by the COMET5 digitizing
sensor. This allows a highly precise marker display and, thus, a high measurement accuracy.
Independently from the positioning accuracy of a robot, the markers are measured by a calibrated CCD camera frame. A further benefit is the optional combination with other matching strategies when measuring other areas of the test part.
