The Stroboscope Trigger System STS 250 developed by Steinbichler Optotechnik is an essential part of the ESPI deformation and vibration analysis. It is an efficient, microprocessor-controlled device for the investigation of sinusoidally excited objects, using a CW laser as light source.
A modulator driven by the STS 250 chops the object beam relatively to the vibration of the object. The vibrating object surface is illuminated at the maximum and/or minimum amplitude to avoid a noisy holographic recording at high object velocities.
STS 250 features:
- computer-controlled (interface to image analysis software
FRAMESplus)
- user-friendly operation
- clear display structure
- integrated driver for modulator
- synchronization of the modulator to vibration and video signal
