With the "Free Boundary" function, rigid body motions and thermal influences are substantially reduced. In addition, this function allows the vibration analysis of freely supended parts. Furthermore, less vibration damping of the measurement set-up is required.

The "Sine Stepping/Universal File" mode makes possible the automatic sweeping of a freely selectable frequency range in operator-defined steps. With a corresponding interface, the Universal File data can be exported to the CADA-X software (LMS) for modal analysis.

The "TRICOLITE" option allows the acquisition  of 3D-coordinates which are added to the vibration data. This data can be captured by any available 1D- or 3D-vibration sensor.

One of the latest developments from Steinbichler Optotechnik is the FiberESPI. Here, the remarkably compact recording optics are linked with the measurement set-up by two optical fibers for reference and object beam. The data evaluation is done by an image analysis system with the evaluation software FRAMESplus under Windows NT.
